EXCERPT

Abba House was founded in 1992 by Jim and Chris Sharp. Since then hundreds of women with life-controlling problems and their families have been set free from their addiction to live productive lives. Abba House has been known for love that accepts and encourages change and healing. God brings healing to the body, soul and spirit.

Jim and Chris have established Abba House, Inc. a non-profit residential ministry in Cumming, GA. They have a rich history in Christian ministry to people suffering with addiction and abuse.

Jim has completed his studies at the Net Training Institute, a Frolida state approved addiction counseling training provider. Jim is an ordained minister and was recently Director of the Women's Ministry of Faith Farm, a ministry with which Abba House had merged.

The Sharps took the ministry from inceprion a capacity of thirty-six women and children. The ministry, in the last two years, has seen 75% of the women that graduated, walking out their recovery through faith in Christ. The ministry became one of the largest and effective women's treatment facility in the country

The Abba House life for our students is not to be a lonely one. We encourage family participation in the recovery of an Abba House student.

Members of the family who would like to visit a student must agree to an orientation meeting prior to the initial visit.

Because of the sensitive nature of some family environments, patience is needed when it is suggested that a visit with a student might be too premature.
